Just thought I'd let you know: I'll be bringing my laptop and mike to the Snarry Meetup (5pm Thursday, right?), just so acid can say hi to everyone. She's even more web-savvy than me: unlike me, she has a webcam on her laptop. :)

Hey, it's not like we're going to let little details like the Atlantic Ocean stop us from joining in the Snarry Goodness! :D

Hi Gang,

Sorry I've been remiss in joining the chatter. June (May too) has been hectic with graduations, prom, confirmations, college plans, etc. Now I can refocus on the important stuff - Sectus in July! Still praying for successful passport resolution.

Anyway, I had an idea for the goody bags but I'll need art. *bats eyes at lizard* Nothing big. Just a little Snarry thing - even the T-shirt picture if it's doable. Something not too complicated that I can manipulate. It will be used for refrigerator magnets. :-D I've made them before and they're really cute.

So, if anyone has something original that they want to donate to the cause, I'll make them up and bring them to add to the Snarry bag. I'll also need to know how many lovely Snarry people we are.

You can email me at montanadan19 at aol dot com.

We're counting down in days now. Yay!

Just in case you missed the t-shirt post, a reminder that the deadline for placing your order is tomorrow (Monday). If you would like to order one, just send £10 (or $20) to elanor.isolda [at] gmail.com through PayPal.

You can see the t-shirt design here, courtesy of the lovely lizardspots.

Is there anyone, or do any of you know anyone who would like to register for Sectus? I have a registration (a 55-pound one) going, as I cannot attend the event.

Anyone interested? Please contact me here or by e-mail (my lj id @ livejournal.com).

X-posted

sectus_snarry has t-shirts!

Pretty, yes? You may recognise the art - it's by lizardspots and currently graces Walking the Plank. (All used with permission, of course)

I'm getting these made by the same company that is making the Sectus t-shirts, so I know they do a good job. They'll all be ladies' fit in black with the print in white.

If you would like one, please send £10 by PayPal to elanor.isolda [at] gmail.com and include in the notes which size you would like. You have until the weekend, and I'll place the order on Monday morning.

Since this best suited the majority of you, I can confirm that the Sectus Snarry meetup will take place from 5pm on Thursday July 19th.

You'll be able to get into the building from 5pm to register and get yourself a drink and something to eat. I will reserve a table in the main hall (in a prime spot, Con Chair's privilege *g*) so that people can drift in as they arrive.

The Opening Ceremony starts at 7.30pm, so you can either stay with the Snarry fans (who are obvs the coolest people at the con) and continue the meetup during and after programming, or wander off and meet other (less interesting) people as you wish.

As akemi42 mentioned, we're looking for people to donate door and raffle prizes. It would be great if everyone could contribute something, although there's no obligation. Check out the previous post for details.

Can't wait to see you all :D

Hey everyone! I promised elanor_isolda that I would help out with the meetup by putting some Snarry freebies together. I don't know if many of you made it to the Snarry meetup at Lumos last year, but the organizers did a fabulous job getting fandom crafters and artists to donate stuff for door prizes and raffles. I got a handmade Snarry purse, this awesome Harry Potter pillow, and tons of other cool stuff.

So I doubt I can top what was done at Lumos, but would like to spread the Snarry love by giving some schwag. I have some stuff that snapecast will donate, but thought I would post to the list to see if others had ideas, resources. If you are a crafter or artist who is inspired by Snarry hopefully you will consider making something to give to your fellow slashers. Or maybe you would just like to donate something more commercial(e.g. some non-used HP merchandise you have laying around). Even if you can just donate 1 or 2 things it would really help. Some ideas...

-Snarry paper dolls or regular dolls
-Snarry paintings, drawings, etc
-Snarry sculpture
-Snarry blankets or pillows
-Snarry bags or purses
-Snarry buttons
-Anything creatively Snarry you can think of

If you have an idea and/or resources please email me at (rachael at snapecast dot com). If we all contribute a little bit, I think it can be really cool. Viva la Snarry.

The Sectus Snarry Meetup

Now that timetabling is almost complete, we need to arrange when/where we're going to have the Snarry meetup.

It's good to meet up at the start of the con, so we all get to know the Snarry fans early on, which is why lizardspots and I originally suggested Thursday.

Registration will open at 5pm on the Thursday, with events scheduled from 7.30-10.30 (approximately). So the options for a Thursday meetup would be:

1) Lunchtime (there's a pub directly across the road from the Thursday night venue)

2) During registration time, when there'll be cheap food available at the venue. I can sort out reserving a table for us to sit at in the main hall.

3) After the events have finished. Bar will be open until 11.30-ish, and again I can sort out reserving a table.

Please let me know what you would prefer and I'll work it out.

Not long now! Squeeee!
